Intel Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition Requirements?

I am interested in installing "Intel Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition (includes Fortran and C/C++)" on my workstation. Can you tell me the system requirements and pre-requisite products which need to be installed and if it will run.  I have installed "Microsoft Visual Studio" on the system and it appears to have installed fine.  However, when I installed Parallel Studio XE I receive a message about Visual Studio, and as I dig deeper selecting the reference sites, it starts mentioning a XEON processor, special graphics cards and more.

Please advise.

Intel system studio for Linux/Android is a link to macosx?

I tried to get the student LINUX copy of System Studio, and it gave me a license and linked me to macos. The page for Linux/Android seems just to link to macos. How can I resolve this and get the right copy?

Service & Support Renewal Compose academic with IMSL

I am trying to renew my named-user academic license for Intel® Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition for Fortran Windows* with Rogue Wave* IMSL*, PRI999WLAE01X1Z, System Locked.  The e-mail that I received from the Intel Registration Center provided a link for the renewal SKU.  That website listed both PRI999WLGM01ZZZ and PRI999WSGM01ZZZ with no indication of the difference.  My attempts to get quotes on this renewal generally yield versions with yet other SKU's and without IMSL (e.g., PCF999WSAM01ZZZ with a comment that IMSL is now bundled, from ISP).  I'm trying to do this pre-expiry and am running out of time.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

Just Upgraded to Mac OSX 10.12.4, Can no longer update Parallel Studio XE

We're going through a tool update which includes the Intel Parallel Studio XE composer edition for C++ OS X.

I upgraded my OS from Mac OS X 10.10.5 to OSC 10.12.4. I installed XCode 8.2.1 (I also have Xcode 7.2.1 installed).

When I attempted to use the Intel Software Manager to upgrade my tools to 2016 Update 4, I got a very polite error message stating that I did not meet the system requirements, which was 10.10 or 10.11.

I'm fully licensed and currently have m_ccompxe_2016.3.068 installed. 

How do I get the latest tools installed on Mac OS X 10.12.4?

Create floating license file

I register my product and now try to create a license file.

I can't find anywhere on the site the option to create a license file.

I can use the email licenses to me button but don't get any email.

Installing VS after evaluation period ends

Hi,  I've just installed Parallel Studio XE Professional and then VS 2015 Community  with the C++ option on a Windows 10 system.  Earlier I evaluated both sets of software before purchasing.  I uninstalled both versions before I installed the purchased version.  When I launch VS 2015, I get a message that says I've exceeded the evaluation period.  I thought that VS 2015 was a free download compatible with XE.  If so, how can I turn off the time-limit.

Dear anyone who can help me,

I downloaded Intel® Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition for Linux, and tried to install this with a student license.

But everytime when I enter license directory(/opt/intel/licenses/), error appears saying "The license file(s) you provided is not valid for this product"

Currently, I use OpenSUSE Leap 42.2 and I was wondering whether I have to install earlier version of OpenSUSE.

I can provide my serial number or license file if they are needed to figure out what causes errors.

Invalid Licence file and serial number

I downloaded Intel Parallel Studio XE Professional for which the Intel Registration page says I have a valid non-commercial licence. I tried using the serial number after activating (both hardware numbers as there are two ports on the target computer), and also downloaded the licence file (with both hardware numbers). Nothing worked, either the licence was not stated as not being valid or the serial number.

The only thing I can think of is that my username on the computer is different from my email address/name, but this should not matter. Or there is some issue with firewalls.

All suggestions welcome.

It's enough to chase us back to linux.

Installing older versions of a product

I have a non-commercial license for Parallel Studio XE Professional Edition for Fortran and C++ Linux. I have previously installed older versions of the product with earlier licenses, which have expired. Now I am moving to a new computer. I can successfully install the latest version of the product, but when I attempt to install earlier versions of the product I am told that:

"The serial number you provided is not valid for this product."

Yet since I test multiple versions of the product I need to install not only the latest version but earlier versions. What can I do ?

I also have a license for Parallel Studio XE Professional Edition for C++ Windows. Yet here I was able to install earlier versions of the product for my testing without any problems. So I do not understand why I cannot install earlier versions of my product using the latest license under Linux.

Intel® Parallel Studio XE Academic Licence under Continuous Integration

I would like to know if it is possible to use my Academic Licence for Parallel Studio XE for Fortran and C/C++ compilers (Linux, macOS and Windows) in hosted, distributed continuous integration services (e.g. Travis CI).

You already offer free tools for open source projects under the open source initiative (link: https://software.intel.com/en-us/qualify-for-free-software/opensourcecon...).

This, however, is limited to Linux and only valid for open source projects (i.e. in public repositories); I will ultimately release my projects in public repositories but, whilst I actively work on these, I tend to keep these repositories private.

Am I allowed to use the licences I obtained under the “Free Tools for Student” programme when launching my tests in hosted, distributed continuous integration services? If not, could you please let me know if there is a different type of licence you could provide for such cases?

Most appropriate license: disconnected systems

Any suggestion for the most appropriate licensing for the following scenario?

I have four developers, and I want up to two at a time to be able to use VTune.  Price-wise, it seems like a simple cost comparison: 

4 x (named-single-user license = $899) = $3596

vs.

2 x (floating license = $3149) = $6298.

So that would seem to indicate that we want named-single-user licenses.  

However, I'm still unclear on the details regarding license management of named-single-user licenses.  In particular, sometimes our developers change computers several times per week, and sometimes those computers are shared by multiple developers.  Some of the systems involved have no Internet access.

Where can I get information regarding the named-single-user license management mechanisms, so I can determine if it will cause problems for the scenario described above?

Linux license rejected

We have two Linux machines (Ubuntu and Suse).  We installed Intel parallel Studio XE Beta 2018 on the Ubuntu machine OK.  When we try to install it on the Suse machine the license is rejected with the message

XE2017 Update 2 Always Fails to Download in ISM

I always get an error:  cannot connect to server for update message, every time I try to download XE2017 Update 2 Composer Edition for Fortran Windows in the Intel Software Manager.  All other updates are successful, for example I just completed an MKL update with no problems.  I tried update 2 earlier in the year also when I had a 6Mbps DSl connection.  I now have 45MBps connection and still get the same error.  The error occurs after it appears to try to begin downloading at 0.1 percent complete.  That's as far as it ever gets.

Unable to Add Serial Number in Intel Software Manager

Hi

I have problems adding a serial number in Intel Software Manager inside Visual Studio 2013 on my new laptop and not on old laptop.

The new laptop has Windows10 as OS, while the old has Windows7. This is the only difference as far as I can see.

Could anyone assist me in this?
